With Transdans, the cultural centre Kortrijk and Danse a Lille develop cross-border actions on dance for children. The projects aims to make the young public aware of the cross-border reality thanks to dance performances and participative projects. On the one hand, the actions aim to exchange and further develop methods, knowledge and expertise on art for children, on the other hand they aim to encourage both residents and artists to take a look across the border. Through participative projects, Transdanse actively involves young families and children in dance in the border area. The cross-border projects offer possibilities to develop new methods or special and innovative formats, to stimulate cross-border thinking and encourage people to meet, cooperate or make a journey together. In addition, the partners aim to establish cooperation projects with schools and focus on awareness-raising among teachers to come to a stronger educational dance programme in schools, but also to encourage interaction between schools in the border area.
