This grant supports a stronger and more sustainable European trans network that strengthens the trans community, and promotes diversity, non-discrimination, and gender equality in Europe. Objectives -An empowered, skilled and well-resourced trans community is engaged for equality -Stable operational structures and resources support reaching ambitious goals -EU and national-level stakeholders have knowledge and tools at hand to respond to discrimination of trans people, and improve legal protection and recognition -TGEU’s work is rooted in diverse trans communities -Other movements, allies and the wider public are better aware of discriminations that trans people face Activities -Strengthen capacities of trans communities and their responses to intersectional discrimination -Advocate for better discrimination protection, improved legal gender recognition and depathologisation of trans persons -Campaign for trans equality -Convene the trans communities & develop TGEU strategy -Evaluate & assess legislation Type and number of persons benefiting from the activities -Community Leaders, 8 -LGBT people, 691 -EU/national policy-makers, 30 -NGO, 1 -Practitioners, lawyers, equality experts, 12 -General public, 2000 Expected results -Trans rights´ activists have gained skills and knowledge to become part of a sustainable civil society aware of relevant EU matters -Key stakeholders and the wider public have increased awareness about the extent and the underlying causes of inequality experienced by trans people -Decision-makers are critically aware of a trans mental health diagnosis as root-cause of discrimination, inequality and violation of fundamental rights -TGEU´s resources will be more accessible to local trans activists Type and number of deliverables -9 Documents/publications -25 advocacy meetings -4 Trainings -11 Mutual learning events -3 Campaigns -12 speeches/ presentations -6 Newsletter -23 Articles -1 Video -20 (Press) statements -400 social media posts
