Description
Description | Set within a vintage Art Deco building from the early 1960s, this project by Sunita Yogesh Studio involved transforming what had long functioned as an office space into a refined guest residence. The conversion demanded a careful rethinking of the existing office layout, transforming former cabins and meeting rooms into intimate domestic spaces while preserving the building's Art Deco identity with a Bauhaus-inspired sensibility. The project embraced the constraints of the nearly seventy-year-old load-bearing structure, including reinforcement after a roof collapse, resulting in a residence rich in personality where history, architecture, and contemporary living coexist. |
