Description
Description | This project consists of a study to determine the technical requirements and precise location for three new Major Mobility Hubs (MMH’s) in the areas of New Sudbury Centre, Downtown and South End, followed by the construction of the MMHs. The project will increase the number of hubs (central larger-scale bus terminals/transfer points) in the Sudbury Transit system from one to four, thereby improving riders’ transit experience by reducing travel times and the number of transfers required. The new hubs will also facilitate a wider restructuring of Greater Sudbury’s transit system, including the introduction of frequent transit along some routes. The project will result in improved capacity and quality of, and, access to the public transit system in Sudbury, Ontario. |
