Transit Service Expansion

• The project consists of the purchase of new diesel buses, new signage of bus stops and new transit software to assist in the operation of transit services as well as the expansion of a bus garage and bus storage. • Specifically, the project includes the purchase of two diesel buses, 255 new bus stop signs, new transit software as well as the expansion of a garage and bus storage facility. The expansion of transit infrastructure will provide public transit services to unserved residential and industrial areas, following the City’s recent growth. The increased area served by the expanded public transit is approximately 1,300 acres. • The project will improve the capacity of the public transit system, improve the quality and safety of existing and future transit systems as well as improve access to the public transit system in the City of Woodstock.
