Transit Service Strategy Implementation and Specialized Transit Services

• The project involves procurement of six new rolling stock assets (replacing five aging buses and adding one bus to the transit fleet), installation of new transit shelters, and implementation of transit technology improvements to support ridership growth and meet increasing demand for modern public transit services. • The project scope includes: - procurement of three (8-metre) diesel and three (7-metre) natural gas buses; - installation of 36 accessible transit stop shelters and concrete pads; and - installation of dispatching/scheduling software and 4 new dispatch control work stations. • The project will result in improved capacity, quality and safety, and accessibility of the public transit system in Halton Hills, Ontario.
