The auction of transmission facilities aims to grant public electricity transmission services for the construction, operation and maintenance of transmission facilities that will form part of the Basic Network of the National Interconnected System. Transmission Auction No. 4/2018 includes 7,152 km of transmission lines and 14,819 MVA of transformation capacity, distributed in 16 lots. Investments of around R$ 13.2 billion are estimated and the generation of 28 thousand direct jobs, distributed across 13 States of the Federation. Transmission Auction No. 4/2018 held on 12/20/2018, at the headquarters of B3, in São Paulo, ended with an average discount of 46%. All 16 lots were sold and the biggest discount, 58.99%, was seen in Lot 9. The winning companies will be entitled to receive the Permitted Annual Revenue for providing the service from the commercial operation of the projects. The duration of the works varies from 48 to 60 months and the 30-year concessions are valid from the signing of the contracts.
