The project involves the development of 902 kilometers long transmission line connecting the states of Amapá, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Paraná, and São Paulo in Brazil. The scope of works also includes the development of supporting 750 megavolt-amperes (MVA) sub-stations and other necessary infrastructure.For the ease of implementation, the whole transmission line is divided into the following five lots :LOT 1:284 km long 500 kV transmission line connecting Ponta Grossa to Assis and 79 km long 525 kV transmission line connecting Bateias to East Curitiba;LOT 2:500 kV substation at Olindina II to facilitate the connection between the 500 kV and 230 kV transmission line;LOT 3 :147 km long 230 kV transmission line connecting Rio das Éguas to Rio Grande II and 18.5 km long 230 kV transmission line in Barreiras;LOT 4:500 kV narrow Synchronous substation in state of Minas Gerais;LOT 5:10 km long 230 kV transmission line in Macapá with 2 nos 230/69 kV transformers.
