Information ReNew Transmission Ventures Pvt. Ltd. has come up with Transmission Scheme for Solar Energy Zone in Gadag [2500 MW], Karnataka - Part A [Phase-1, 1000 MW] [SPV - Gadag Transmission Limited] with a ticket size of 350 INR Crores. This project in Electricity Transmission sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Financial Closure and is being developed through the PPP route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The 2.5 GW solar potential identified in Gadag area of Karnataka for implementation. The Gadag transmission scheme involves establishment of Gadag Pooling Station and its interconnection with ISTS grid for evacuation of solar potential from Gadag area of Karnataka. Gadag Transmission Limited is the SPV created for development of above transmission system. The BPC [REC Project Development and Consultancy Limited] had invited Bids for selection of Transmission Service Provider to establish the above Transmission System on build, own, operate and maintain basis, and to provide transmission service on a long term basis to the Long Term Transmission Customers. Subsequent to bidding process, M/s ReNew Transmission Ventures Private Limited has selected a successful bidder and project SPV i.e Gadag Transmission Limited has been acquired on 17.03.2022.
