Significant sustainability challenges that Ukraine has faced under the EU integration process were multiplied by the complicated political situation, global economic pandemic recession, internal structural economic imbalances and green technologies inefficiency, and low level of sustainability perception among Ukrainians, especially youth. The effort of Sumy State University (SumDU) in the field of sustainability education and university governance, as well as public authority efforts to overcome low level of business transparency and sustainability ideas among Ukrainians, need to be triggered with the incorporation of main EU sustainability policies, instruments and tools into Ukrainian educational (including Life Long Learning), academic, business, local community practice. The main idea of the project concerns the dissemination of EU sustainability values as drivers of youth and civil society sustainability activity, fostering a multistakeholder dialogue for improving collaboration in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative promotion, accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) progress, and EU integration process, and reaching out to a Ukrainian wide public mentality change for a higher level of the EU sustainability values perception. The project “Transparency. Accountability. Responsibility. Governance. Europe. Trust. Sustainability. (TARGETS)” is designed to multiply EU experience in sustainability and SDGs values (quality education, gender equality, climate change mitigation, revert biodiversity, responsible production, consumption and investment) for Ukraine. To reach this aim on a multidisciplinary, multilevel, holistic, and multi-stakeholder basis a new MOOC and academic course “Transparency, Accountability, and Sustainability of Business towards EU Integration” will be designed and implemented.
