Description | The replacement of various small buried structures at various (9) locations across the province and one bridge span at two (2) locations. The scope includes: - Installation of environmental controls (silt fences, straw mulch, etc.) - Clearing and grubbing of vegetation locally within the project site(s) - Excavation of earthen material to gain access to the buried structure(s) for removal - Removal and disposal of the existing buried structure(s) - Provision of temporary stream alignment(s) in order to install new structure(s) in the dry ground - Preparation of base material for new structure(s) - Pile driving operations will be required where geotechnical conditions do not allow for spread footings - Installation of new buried structure(s) at the 9 various locations. - Construct new timber bridge span with concrete pile caps at one (1) location - Supply, placement and compaction of suitable backfill material over the new structure(s) - Supply, placement and compaction of roadway base gravels and asphalt base and wearing surface(s) - Supply and placement of topsoil and hydroseed - Site clean-up and demobilize. Schedule would be from August 2020 to November 2021 |
