Transportation Management System Replacement

This project proposes to upgrade, install new, or replace existing inefficient and outdated Transportation Management System (TMS) elements and pave areas for Maintenance Vehicle Pullouts (MVPs) at various locations - in Merced County on Interstate 5 (I-5) and State Route 99, 140, 152, in Stanislaus County on State Route 99, in Tuolumne County on State Route 108, 120. There is a total of 23 locations. The scope of this project consists of the following: Replace 1 Changeable Message Sign (CMS) Replace 7 Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras Install 2 new Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras Replace 9 Vehicle Detection Systems (VDS) Install 2 new Vehicle Detection Systems (VDS) Replace 1 Traffic Signal Install new 1 IP camera Replace 5 Roadside Weather Information Stations (RWIS) The pavement work consists of construction of 9 MVPs. MBGR at various locations within the project limits will be upgraded to current standards.
