Description | Transstroy Tirupati Tiruthani Chennai Tollways Pvt was to set up to implement the expansion to four lanes of Tirupati Tiruthani Chennai Section of NH-205 from km 274.800 to km 338.019 in State of Andhra Pradesh and km 0.00 to km 61.47 in State of Tamil Nadu, India. The total lenght of the project was 124.7 km. The National Highway Authority of India awarded the project to Transstroy Tirupati Tiruthani Chennai Tollways Pvt via competitive tender using the lowest subsidy as bid criteria in April 2010. The project company won the tender by requesting a subsidy of INR 513.9 million (US$11.2 million). Transstroy Tirupati Tiruthani Chennai Tollways Pv was a consortium formed by Transstroy (India) Ltd (74%) and OJSC Corporation Transstroy, Russia (26%). Transstroy (India) Ltd is EPC contractor. The National Highway Authority of India estimated the project cost at INR 5.710 billion. The was no information on the lenght of the contract. The total project cost was NR5.784 bilion (US$126.48 million) at financial closure. Financial close was on 16 Dec 2010 . Debt comprises a Rs4bn 15-year term loan arranged by Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Corporation Bank and India Infrastructure Finance Co. The goverment provided a subsidy of 51.39 crores US$11.2 million). The remaining was equity contribution. Construction started in Jan 2011 and operation was due to begin in Oct 2013. |
