Description | Other Agencies with Actions or Authorizations: Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation Description: TransWest Express, LLC, sponsors the project, which consists of a 725-mile 600kV DC line from Sinclair, WY substation to Marketplace, NV substation. The project is a 3 billion dollar project designed to carry renewable and other energy generated in Wyoming to the desert southwest. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) issued the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) in May 2016. The BLM completed agency and Tribal government consultations, and issued a Record of Decision December 2016, with the ROD Notice of Availability publication in the Federal Register December 16, 2016. The project was paused temporarily awaiting action from the sponsor; BLM resumed processing in May 2017 and the ROW Grant was issued June 20.2017. Section 107 and Section 106 consultations were completed prior to initiation under FAST-41, and thus are not included on the permitting timetable.
