The project is hinged around cooperation between four thematic museums in the cross-border area of the Westhoek, with a view to making the most of the tourism possibilities offered by a shared cultural heritage. The presence of thematic museums is a strong characteristic of this region, a major historical crossroads of Europe boasting an identity marked by exchanges and dialogue. A series of exhibitions will present the work of the artist Marie Hendriks in collaboration with the teams of the partner museums. A joint communication campaign will invite the public to visit these places beyond the border, through an innovative experience delivering interaction between contemporary art and heritage. Specific facilitation activities will help nurture an enriching experience between public and an artist and the museum teams, reinforcing and extending the transmission of knowledge about our heritage.
