Description

Description

The aim is to establish a sustainable institutional cooperation of all project partners (Slovak National Museum - Historical Museum and Music Museum Dolná Krupá, Marchegg Municipality and Verein/Österreichiches Museum für Volkskunde in Vienna [ÖMV]), which will be developed together with the strategic partners in the fields of culture, nature and music in the Marchfeld / Small Carpathians region. Three pilot initiatives will be established: Jointly organized touring exhibition "Treasures from Central Europe" (working title) as an exemplary model of further sustainable cooperation, Partial renovation of Marchegg Castle, Partial renovation of Dolná Krupá Castle (as well as the establishment of 2 open depositaries in Bratislava Castle). The result is a cooperation agreement of all project partners until 2025 which defines the methodology and content of sustainable cooperation in order to further develop the castles Dolná Krupá and Marchegg as cultural tourism attractions. The Marchfeld / Little Carpathians region is not a tourist intensive region, but offers a great deal of natural and cultural potential. The tourism preparation of these resources not only creates interesting leisure alternatives for the local population, but also the important attractions for visitors. With the partial renovation of the two castles, the foundations for a modern cultural and exhibition operation and interfaces for further renovations in Marchegg as well as in Dolná Krupá are created. An exhibition of the cultural heritage of both countries will take place as a pilot initiative. The ÖMV in Vienna initiated the present project together with the Department of Art and Culture of the Lower Austrian state government, so that the treasures from its depositaries can reach a wider public in Austria and Slovakia. "Treasures" from the museums and contributions of the population from the participatory project "Sharing Treasures" starting in Vienna will be exhibited.
