The plant will generate up to 1,700 megawatts of power, enough to power about 1.7 million homes, and create about 25 permanent jobs. The project also includes a regional carbon capture storage hub with 30 CO2 injection wells across a six-county area. The project is currently in the permitting stage, with construction expected to start in 2028 and the plant coming online in late 2032 or early 2033. |
