The project was initially planned as a 7-km flyover but was scaled down to 1.6 km. The project has faced delays since its inception in 2019, including a stay on tree cutting which was lifted in May 2024. The Union ministry of road transport and highways has given in-principle approval to the revised cost estimate of ₹240 crore, with formal approval expected within a month, allowing construction to begin. |
