ongoing

"The Trickster Pictures mini-slate aims to increase the diversity of projects, their respective target groups and audiences, and to expand and broaden the production capacity of Trickster Pictures, by working with new, emerging and experienced artists in a thorough process of project development. The minislate consists of three projects presently in development at our studio, all of which are feature-length fiction films and international co-productions. ""The Child"" will be the sophomore feature by award-winning director Linda Olte, a psychological drama aimed at an adult audience; the film will be a co-production between Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Italy. ""Legato"" will be the debut fiction feature from Annecy-winning animation and documentary director Ilze Burkovska-Jacobsen, a social drama aimed at an adult audience, the film is currently a co-production between Latvia and Norway. Our third project is ""The Loneliness of Trees"" by Matīss Kaža, a coming-of-age drama for a teenage audience, set during the ongoing conflict in the Ukraine and depicting the teenage Ukrainian refugee experience in Latvia."
