Triconboston Wind Power Project

The project involves the construction, commissioning and operation of three 50 MW wind power projects located in Thatta District, Sindh Province, in the south of Pakistan (the projects). The projects are jointly being developed by the Sapphire Group, a well-respected conglomerate in Pakistan with business interests in textiles, food, and power (both thermal and renewables), and Bank Alfalah Limited, Pakistan's sixth largest private bank (collectively the sponsors) through Triconboston Consulting Corporation, a special purpose vehicle (SPV). Following a competitive bid, Hydrochina Corporation was awarded the EPC contract (with General Electric to provide wind turbine generators). General Electric is also the O&M contractor. All three projects have same EPC and O&M contractors.
