TRIPLO+ is the natural continuation of the original TRIPLO project. In fact, starting from the main output of this project - the Strategic Plan -, TRIPLO+ aims to reinforce the solutions identified for noise reduction through both small investments and capitalization activities. In particular, each partner - on the basis of the analysis carried out in the original project and the dynamics of its own pilot area - will develop specific actions - demos and capitalization - that will provide further data and elements of knowledge to enrich and consolidate the indications contained in the TRIPLO Strategic Plan, transforming it into the TRIPLO+ Strategic Plan. The demos will be preceded and followed by acoustic surveys to demonstrate the degree of noise reduction and - in continuity with TRIPLO - the physical analysis will be accompanied by perceptive analysis (innovative approach introduced with TRIPLO) to understand local perceptions of the improvement of the acoustic climate, before and after the implementation of the solutions. A special report containing the results of the evaluation of the effectiveness will be drawn up for use by the identified partners and target groups. The capitalization will instead be aimed at extending the capitalization process already started with TRIPLO, to learn how other European projects have used ITS systems for noise reduction, in what ways local communities have been involved, how noise reduction measures are managed at institutional and in the interaction between ports and connected neighbouring areas. In light of the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project will employ innovative work solutions, making extensive use of remote methods.
