Description | The Tripura government has launched a plan to expand rooftop solar power panels targeting nearly 1.5 lakh households with low electricity consumption. The initiative is implemented jointly with Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) to promote renewable energy adoption and reduce financial burden on consumers. Subsidies are provided based on system capacity, with 1 kW systems available for Rs 1,000 after subsidy. The project aims to generate nearly 150 MW of solar electricity if fully implemented. |
