Trojan Home Electric Vehicle Charging Trial

under trial

Coventry City Council has partnered with Trojan Energy to pilot Trojan Home, a new electric vehicle charging solution designed for residents who park on the road and do not own a driveway. Chargers are installed in the pavement and connected to residents' electricity supply via a small control box on their property. Homeowners can have them installed free of charge with a monthly subscription covering a charging adapter and equipment upgrades. The trial allows 20 Coventry households to try the units over 12 months, with pay-as-you-go access for other residents and reimbursement for third-party usage. The project aims to provide affordable, convenient, and inclusive EV charging without the need for visible street furniture or designated bays.
