The Third Industrial Development Bank (TSKB) Project for Turkey will finance the establishment or expansion of private industrial enterprises. This project will engage in a wide range of operations make long-term loans, take equity participations or in exceptional cases, establish new enterprises; give technical assistance to its clients, and finally, dispose of its portfolio to private investors encouraging the growth of a capital market and replenishing its own resources. The Turkish industry was handicapped by the virtual inability of the capital market or financial institutions to provide long-term funds for industry, for this purpose this project will provide long-term capital to the private industry in Turkey.
