Description | Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is developing a semiconductor manufacturing campus in Arizona, including multiple fabs for chip production. The first fab began mass production in Q4 2024, the second fab's construction is complete with production starting in the second half of 2027, and construction of a third fab started in early 2026. The project is part of an initial $65 billion investment with plans for an additional $100 billion investment for further expansion including more fabs, IC assembly facilities, and an R&D center. |
