Description | Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s (TSMC) investment project in Arizona includes the construction and operation of semiconductor fabrication plants (fabs). The first fab began commercial operations in late 2024 and generated significant profit in 2025. The second fab construction is complete with mass production planned for the second half of 2027, and work on a third fab has started. The project is part of an initial $65 billion investment with plans for further expansion including additional fabs, assembly facilities, and an R&D center. |
