Description | Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Arizona has begun construction on a 15-acre Industrial Reclamation Water Plant aimed at recycling water used in semiconductor manufacturing. The facility will recycle about 85% of water initially, with plans to reach 90% or better, converting industrial wastewater back to ultrapure water needed for chip manufacturing. It will support TSMC Arizona's first two fabs in north Phoenix and will be operational in 2028, with capacity expansion planned for future fabs. This project significantly reduces water supply demand from the City of Phoenix. |
