Description	North-Western GSM and national operator Tajiktelecom joined forces in August of 2001 to create telecommunicatins joint venture TT mobile. Russia's North-Western GSM (aka Megafon) held 75% with the remaining 25% held by state-owned fixed and mobile provider Tajiktelecom. On September 14, 2001 TT Mobile received a GSM-900/1800 license from the Tajikistan Communications Ministry. TT Mobile launched commercial operations at the end of 2001. By January 2002 the network covered Dushanbe and some central districts. North-Western had planned to invest US$5 million by 2003. In 2003, TT Mobile (aka MLT) was second of four in Tajikistan's mobile market with 29,000 subscribers. In 2005 MegaFon has a 75% stake in TT-Mobile and Tajikistan’s Tajiktelecom also holds a stake in the company. http://www.mlt.tj/ CAPEX 2013 not yet available. CAPEX 2012 from Wireless Intelligence.
