Description | The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), in collaboration with design firm Arcadis, has started piloting two different wayfinding systems across six high-traffic subway stations in Toronto. The project includes an alphanumeric exit strategy, a first in Canada, and the NaviLens app for smartphone-based navigation and real-time transit information. The pilot aims to improve navigation for tourists, visually impaired, low-vision users, multilingual visitors, and neurodivergent riders, and will remain active until September 2026. It aligns with TTC's long-term strategy to transform static signage into a dynamic, multi-sensory, integrated experience. |
