Techtronic Industries Company Limited (“TTI Group” or “TTI” or “the Company”), founded in 1985 and publicly listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is a multinational company that designs, produces, and markets power tools, outdoor power equipment, hand tools, and floorcare and cleaning products. The Company’s global business activities are organized under two Business Units (“BU”), Power Equipment and Floorcare & Cleaning. TTI aims to issue a Sustainability-Linked Bond (“SLB”) of up to EUR120 million (approximately US$125 million) to support expansion of its operations in Viet Nam, which IFC will subscribe to. The SLB proceeds from IFC will be utilized by TTI to construct a greenfield expansion facility at the Saigon High-Tech Park (the “Project”), to produce power tools which is expected to have up to 3,000 full time persons at full operating capacity, within an existing TTI site footprint area where the Company has an operating production facility. The production process at all operating TTI facilities in Viet Nam, and at the greenfield Project facility, involves the assembly and quality control of ready-made parts and components procured by TTI from Viet Nam-based suppliers into TTI’s final end-products.
