Tuffi Films Media Slate -application

ended

Tuffi Film’s current full company development slate includes approximately 23 projects, in all stages of development and a variety of genres. The proposed slate in this application includes a proportion of the company’s projects, representing a diverse range of themes, filmmakers and target audiences, with projects that are at various stages of development. All projects have been identified and chosen for the proposal, as they have potential for European and wider distribution and have proved so as they have been selected at pitching forums and / or attracted international distribution already at early development. We are working in collaboration with the distributing partners, such as Nordisk Film, Elisa Viihde, Aurora Studios and Yle The Finnish Broadcasting Company, with whom we have built strong collaboration through previous and ongoing projects. The slate proposed here includes two fiction projects that are different in style and story line, both have women and non-binary character’s point of view at heart. There are two debut documentaries, one aimed at youth audiences with great potential for educational and emotional imprint, the other one ambitiously explores popular culture through reality TV stars. The series project is a political thriller, an original idea from the Tuffi Films partners, aimed to take the Nordic thriller genre to the next level bringing in yet new writing and acting talent to the company. The short film project is from an emerging filmmaker with whom we want to build a long-term association, as we feel that the voice that she represents is underrepresented in European cinema. The slate will foster the company’s creative range and business opportunities, that we believe will be vital, in order for an European cinema and audiovisual arts producer, to build on experience and thrive to the future.
