Description | The Tummidihetti project involves constructing a barrage across the Pranahita river, a tributary of the Godavari, at Tummidihetti village in Koutala mandal of Adilabad district, Telangana. The project aims to utilize over 180 TMC of Godavari water to provide irrigation facilities for an ayacut of 2 lakh acres in the erstwhile Adilabad district. The Telangana government is preparing a new detailed project report (DPR) to submit to the Centre and seeks central assistance for the project, especially in light of the Andhra Pradesh government's development of the Banakacharla project. |
