Description | In May 2012, a local private company Zhejiang Kinguo Holdings Ltd. signed an agreement with the local authority to build and operate 200MW PV plants in Tumushuke City, Xinjiang. The first part was the 90MW demonstration PV plant and the first phase thereof was a 20MW PV plant. Construction had commenced by Nov 2012 according to an article and the project would be completed in 2013. The total investment for the 20MW plant is US$ 38.74 million (RMB 240 million). Once finished, it could reduce carbon emission of 32614 tons per year. A special project vehicle Tumushuke City Kinguo Power Co. Ltd. was established to implement the plants. Zhengguo had a 100% stake in the project. Over 25% of construction had been finished by August 2013. |
