In July 1998, Zecon Toll Concessionaire Sdn Bhd (ZTC) and the Government of Sarawak state signed a concession agreement under which ZTC was granted the rights to design, construct, manage, operate and maintain approximately 3-km Jalan Tun Salahuddin including the Tun Salahuddin Bridge, commencing from Tanah Puteh intersection at Jalan Kwong Lee Bank/Jalan Utama located on the South bank of Sungai Sarawak to the new junction at Jalan Demak The concession period was for the period of thirty-three (33) years commencing from 1 October 2003 and expiring on 30 September 2036, and may be extended by such other period as may be decided by the relevant authority or based on mutual agreement. ZTC was a wholly owned subsidiary of Zecon Engineering Berhad, which was a private consortium whose main share holders were Dawla Capital Sdn Bhd with 43.88% and Inas Kapital Sdn Bhd with 17.36% None None
