Description | This project involves the construction of a mega-container terminal at Tuna-Tekra near the existing Deendayal Port with capacity of 2.19 million TEU per annum once completed in 2027, according to the company's plan. It is also expected to have a 1,100 m berth capable of handling vessels carrying more than 18,000 TEUs, which can be further extended to 1,375 m. The investment stands at $510 million, provided by the sponsors of the project - DP World and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund. The project company is Hindustan Infralog Private Limited. This project is implemented under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession for a period of 30 years with the option to be extended for another 20 years.
