Tungho Industrial Park

under environmental impact assessment

The Tungho Industrial Park is a development project in Taichung, Taiwan, involving the construction of an industrial park on land previously zoned for agricultural use. The project has faced protests and concerns from environmental groups and local residents regarding potential contamination of groundwater, impact on agriculture irrigation, national security due to proximity to military sites, and threats to endangered species habitats. The project was previously proposed under a different name (Ching Chuang Kang Industrial Park) but was rejected and later resubmitted under the new name, entering the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
