Tunisia - Emergency aid for humanitarian assistance to the Tunisian-Libyan frontier

The emergency aid project for humanitarian assistance on the Tunisian-Libyan border is a response to the appeal to the international community launched by the Tunisian state. It is part of the support to national relief efforts and prevention of the risks of outbreaks and spread of epidemics in IDP camps. This emergency aid is granted to support the ICRC and CRT relief plans on the Tunisian-Libyan border. In concrete terms, the donation will help to improve logistics by increasing the capacity, buying vehicles and providing blankets. On the medical side, health facilities such as medical kits and water sanitation systems will help fight the spread of epidemics. In addition to these emergency operations, activities to improve crisis preparedness and contingency planning capabilities are being undertaken as a result of the continuous flow of IDPs to the Tunisian-Libyan border. The total cost of activities is estimated at US $ 1,000,000 for a total duration not to exceed six (6) months.
