Description | The proposed additional financing will extend the support provided under the parent project to continue to mitigate the medium- and long-term impact of the health and economic crisis as well as to support the strengthening of an integrated and responsive social protection system.Component 1: Cash transfers to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 crisis will support the Government of Tunisia’s (GoT) response to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 crises on poor and vulnerable households and will include financing Temporary Cash Transfers (TCT) and the financing of the permanent AMEN Social Cash Transfers (PCT) including its improved targeting. Component 2: Cash transfers for human capital development will support the family allowance component of the AMEN Social program with a focus on mitigating the impact of the pandemic on families with children, while protecting their human capital.Component 3: Strengthening the social protection system will support the strengthening of the social protection system and its capacity to deliver efficient and inclusive programs. Component 4: Contingent Emergency Response (CERC) will allow the GoT to request from the World Bank a rapid reallocation of the project funds to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible emergency or crisis. |
