Tunisia Energy Sector Improvement Project

The development objective of the Energy Sector Improvement Project for Tunisia is to: (i) strengthen Tunisia’s electricity transmission system; and (ii) improve Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG’s) commercial performance. The project comprises of two components. The first component, strengthening the electricity transmission network will provide support for the expansion and reinforcement of Tunisia’s power transmission system. The second component, commercial performance improvement will provide financing for payments under the eligible expenditure program (EEP) in support of the strengthening of STEG’s commercial performance.
