TUR - Support for volunteer Syrian teachers in Turkey, Phase VII

The aim of the project is to provide improved access to education for Syrian refugee children in Turkey. The project is being implemented by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) as part of the overarching initiative Preventing a lost generation in Turkey and is being supported with EUR 30 million. Around 4,700 Syrian aid workers will be hired from project funds from Phase VII and deployed in various educational and social institutions at several locations in Turkey. They will support the institutions with administrative and technical tasks. As a result, around 250,000 schoolchildren will benefit from the project. The project is part of the Middle East employment initiative as part of the special initiative Combating the causes of flight, reintegrating refugees.
