Description | The Turbe project is a synthetic sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) project located in the Port of Rotterdam. It is the inaugural commercial deployment of Metafuels' proprietary methanol-to-jet technology, aerobrew, aiming to produce commercial scale e-SAF starting from 2030. The project benefits from established methanol infrastructure, multimodal logistics, and a skilled industrial workforce in Rotterdam. The grant funding supports project development activities including front-end engineering and design (FEED), permitting, consents, and commercial development towards final investment decision (FID). |
