Description | The development objective of Climate Smart and Competitive Agricultural Growth Project is to strengthen capacity for sustainable and competitive agricultural growth and promote the use of climate‐smart agriculture in targeted regions in Turkey. This project has four components. The first component, Institutional Capacity Strengthening for Climate‐Smart Agriculture Policy, Planning, and Investments, has the following sub-components: Narrowing information gaps to enhance soil health and land‐use planning/management; and MoAF digital blueprint for sectoral information collection and management. The second component, Enhancing animal health capacity for effective disease surveillance, diagnostics and control, has the following sub-components: Strengthening the capacity of animal health institutes; and Strengthening and improving veterinary medicinal product controls for animal infectious. The third component, Investments for Enhanced Productivity, Resource‐Efficiency, and Climate Resilience, has the following sub-components: Strengthening climate resilience, productivity, and resource‐use efficiency in horticultural production; Promoting the adoption of CSA technologies/practices; Reducing animal production pressures on water pollution and GHG emissions; and Research and innovations to support CSA. The fourth component, Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation, will support all project management functions. |
