Tuzla Canton Public Buildings Energy Efficiency

Sovereign loan of up to EUR 8 million to BiH which will be on-lent through a legislated cascade of sub-loans from BiH to the FBiH and then to Tuzla Canton to finance energy efficiency ("EE") measures in up to 173 public buildings in the Tuzla Canton (the "Project"). The loan will be complemented by EUR 2 million of investment grants from the European Union (the "EU") under the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme ("REEP"). The majority of the buildings are schools, including sports halls, and local health care institutions. The EE measures include thermal insulation of walls and roofs/ceiling as well as replacement of windows, energy sources and lighting. The Project will serve as a trigger investment under the Green Cities Framework 2 - Window II Extension 2 ("GrCF2 W2 E2"), initiating Tuzla Canton's participation in EBRD Green Cities.
