TV Cabo – Televisão por Cabo de Angola, Lda. is the result of a partnership between the Visabeira Group and the Angolan company Angola Telecom. The company is currently the only cable content and data operator in the country to offer a joint digital television and broadband internet service, using fully digital technology, which contributes to placing Angola at the forefront of this type of service in Africa. Operating successfully in Luanda since 2006, TV Cabo Angola began to extend its activity to other cities, such as Benguela / Lobito and Lubango. The project, based on an advanced convergent IP broadband network that allows different services over the same infrastructure, such as voice, video and data simultaneously, was financed by Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA), with a bank guarantee from SOFID. This is a project with great economic and social relevance whose offer, in addition to responding to families' demand for information, cultural, educational and entertainment services, allows companies and public services to adopt integrated solutions for their growing needs for communication and data transmission in large quantities, therefore constituting an instrument for leveraging the technological development of the business fabric and the regional economy, which is why the company has been developing work to expand and update telecommunications infrastructures . With a growing number of jobs created, TV Cabo Angola has reduced its use of expatriate staff, turning to young Angolan graduates. In addition to this commitment, it has pursued a policy of social responsibility by carrying out social, educational and cultural actions not only with its employees but also in local communities.
