Description

Description

Due to budgetary restraints, Metrobus has not purchased any shelters since 2011. As we currently have five (six in January, 2017) wheelchair accessible routes, it is important that shelters on all these routes meet the requirements for wheelchair accessibility. In 2015, all concrete shelter pads on these routes were replaced or modified to be wheelchair accessible, however the shelters do not meet the requirements. Wheelchair accessible shelters are one foot wider to allow wheelchairs to easily manoeuver inside. These shelters will replace all non-accessible shelters on the wheelchair accessible routes.
