TWIN-EWC: Tackling the Twin Transitions through European Works Councils

"The project “TWIN - EWC: Tackling the Twin Transitions through European Works Councils” aims to enhance the role of European Works Councils in tackling the challenges for European companies and their workers posed by the twin transitions (digital and environmental). By investing in training, developing tools and resources, and fostering a collaborative network and experiences exchange, European Works Councils will be better equipped to represent employee interests and contribute to a sustainable, digital future for companies in Europe. This project arises from the needs and requirements expressed by the beneficiaries of the ""Les Cee: le Socle Européen du Dialogue Social"" european project, promoted by CISL Lombardia, which focuses on European Works Councils. It also leverages the analytical tools developed in the European project titled ""JUST TRANSITION: Supporting Trade Unions in Taking Steps Towards a Sustainable Future at the Company/Sectoral Level through Social Dialogue,"" promoted by CISL Nazionale. To answer to these needs, this project will invest in training for EWC delegates and provide them with appropriate analytical tools to strengthen their role, implementing the activities of analysis and data collection; development of tools and resources and their validation and dissemination of the results achieved. In summary, the project will implement 1 training course in each country (Italy; Belgium; Bulgaria; France; Spain) on the analytical tools (presentation and use), legislative and contractual regulations at national level, twin transitions and the role of EWCs with the support of experts and 1 transnational training on practical use of tools, application of EU legislation on sustainability and digitalization matters; 1 National Workshop in each country to validate the developed tools; a final dissemination national conference in each country; a digital publication (a toolkit); a project web app; a video and a final dissemination transnational event."
