Description | TwinHub is a pioneering 32MW floating offshore wind project based in the Celtic Sea, developed by Hexicon in collaboration with Bechtel. It was the first UK floating wind project to secure a Contract for Difference (CfD) in 2022, with a 15-year deal and a strike price initially set at £87.30/MWh. The project had a preferred turbine supplier agreement with Chinese wind turbine maker Mingyang, which was later barred from British projects due to national security concerns. Consequently, the CfD for TwinHub was terminated prematurely on 27 March 2026. |
