"The project “TIC” is going to enhance the experience of the Municipality of Quiliano (lead) gained since the 1970s in friendship pacts and twinning initiatives implemented with the Municipality of Ajdovščina (partner) and others. The aim of the project is to share best practices for the enhancement of EU citizenship in the territories with the active involvement of the community. The workshops foreseen focus on some successful experiences adopted by the applicants to foster greater involvement of young people in democratic life, such as the Children's Municipal Council, and to disseminate experiences in biblio-pedagogy with regard to the vulnerable groups. By participating in international workshops, young people will have the opportunity to develop listening, argumentation and the defence of their opinions in a constructive manner. Experimentation in shared cultural experiences offers an opportunity for personal growth for the different targets involved: public administrators, students, cultural workers, citizens. Group work, simulations and significant experiences will be organised during the workshops organised in Italy and Slovenia. In order to build a shared citizenship space, information, audio-visual and iconographic materials of the workshops will be archived through the use of digital: doc, video, audio, chat, photo. On the ""twinning online"" all project stakeholders will be able to exchange content and make new friends in different languages. The ability to network, collaborate, share ideas and best practices, face together the challenges of the present and anticipate those of the future is the key to building new perspectives. The hoped-for impact is to offer shared ways to develop new intergenerational twinning relations, also nourished by a virtuous dialogue on the role of the EU in supporting peace and cooperation among peoples, according to Agenda 2030, thanks to the membership of all associated partners."
