KINO PAVASARIS DISTRIBUTION (operated by the UAB EUROPOS KINAS) was founded in 2014 and since then acquires 20-25 titles per year. Its main aim is to enlarge and enrich the art-house film scene in Lithuania and Baltic states by acquiring lesser known European and World Cinema titles and daring auteur films, which otherwise wouldn’t get local distribution. KINO PAVASARIS DISTRIBUTION works as a sidebar company of Vilnius International Film Festival and performs festival, theatrical, VOD/SVOD and TV distribution. It has a strong focus on alternative distribution strategies, such as festival screenings in at least 10 different cities, large scale open air screenings in Vilnius, various thematic film screenings with added value (discussions, introductions etc.) and summer film caravan, which brings open-air screenings to Lithuanian province (around 100 screenings in 2,5 months across the country), a number of various educational projects etc. KINO PAVASARIS DISTRIBUTION by the number of released films is among largest art-house distributors in Lithuania by the market share and by the number of acquired films. Films released under KINO PAVASARIS DISTRIBUTION label are positioned as quality auteur cinema. PR and Marketing campaign of each film is directed to the quality culture consumers and European cinema lovers. For the launch UAB EUROPSO KINAS usually aims to invite director or other talents or have online Q&A session to boost media interest and create a memorable experience for the audience. Films are released in its original language with Lithuanian subtitles, some of them are available also in a version with Lithuanian voice over. The number of prints varies from 3 to 12 depending on the film. Releases are usually supported by advertisement campaign in online media (www.15min.lt and film websites in Lithuania zurnalaskinas.lt and kinfo.lt) and social networks.
