Description
Description | The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in the UAE has launched a pioneering strategic project to implement microgrid systems in federal government buildings. This initiative aims to build a smart, flexible energy ecosystem that enhances energy security, sustainability, and efficiency, supporting the 'We the UAE 2031' vision for advanced infrastructure. The project was piloted at the Ministry’s headquarters in Sharjah in 2025 and demonstrated significant operational, environmental, and economic benefits, including energy savings, cost reductions, and carbon emission cuts. The next phase involves expanding the deployment nationwide and developing a national technical and regulatory framework for microgrid implementation. |
